A blanket in a day!
Yep, you read that right.
I made a blanket in about 8 hours, I know what you are thinking, a baby blanket made in super chunky.

But no – This is a huge 155cm x 170cm blanket!
It’s made using this amazing yarn from Cygnet Yarns. Chenille, which I am a huge fan of.
It is gorgeous, so soft, and exactly what you need to snuggle under on a cold day.
The ball band says a 6 -7mm hook, but I wanted an excuse to buy a new hook, and I didn’t have an 8mm clover hook (can you see where this is going?)
So I started to make a blanket, using good old C2C, which if you don’t know how to do, I have a handy post here.
You will need for a 155 x 170cm blanket:

And well, once I started it, I just couldn’t actually stop! It was a dream to work with, and so so quick. I think the picture below took about 20 minutes and is already about 25cm long!

So I carried on,

and it got bigger, and bigger.

Then it was too big for the table I used to take a lot of photos on, and I’d only been making this for a couple of hours.

measuring and checking, and then all of a sudden, within 4 hours, I was reducing!
Then it was that time again……

This was a dream to make. The yarn is so tactile, and the “lazy crocheter” in me loves a project that is quick quick quick.

It is so so warm too, I almost didn’t want to send it to Cygnet.
Here are a few more pictures, if you want to make yourself one, I’d love to see it.
