It’s freezing here in the UK currently, perfect crochet slouchy beanie hat weather you might say!
The South East of the country is being battered by “the Beast from the East”…… basically weather from Russia is bringing the cold winds, and snow to us, and we are completely unprepared for snow.
So at this point I thought I would share with a make from a couple of years ago – that is perfect for the current cold conditions. An easy ladies crochet slouchy beanie hat.
A Crochet Slouchy Beanie Hat
This hat uses a great super chunky yarn from Cygnet that is in my stash “Seriously Chunky Metallics”.
I bought a huge amount of this yarn wholesale a couple of years ago when it was first released, and this was a perfect colour and weight for this project.
I use this yarn for lots of projects:
A quick and easy Christmas Wreath
A Bumble Bee (Because why not?)
Or how about a crochet Pumpkin
Why is Super Bulky yarn so good?
Well it works up so so quickly!
And we all know that a quick crochet project is a good crochet project in my books.
This yarn comes in 100g balls, about 48m per ball, and is 100% premium acrylic and machine washable.
So two balls of yarn, a 10mm hook, a bit of luck, a pad of paper and pencil and I was away.
What do you need to know to crochet a slouchy beanie hat?
This crochet slouchy beanie hat is really easy to make, and perfect for beginners to try.
It’s really quick to make too as it uses super chunky / bulky yarn.
You need to know how to:
