A quick and easy Crochet Christmas wreath

I’m getting a bit addicted to wreaths, or all shapes and sizes!

I love the “real ones” and made one a couple of weeks ago at a great workshop which you can read about here.

I made a crochet one in my first year of crocheting – a challenge to myself, but I never got round to blogging about it, but heres a picture.

Mostly Lucy’s ideas from Attic 24, and a hedgehog from One man Crochet who is super cute.

But I wanted something quick and easy.

A ball and a bit of Cygnet Super chunky in cream, a polystyrene wreath (35cm and a flat base), and a 10mm hook, and some bling!.

I got a bit carried away, and forgot to take photos as it was so so quick to make!

So crochet around the wreath base using the super chunky yarn.  Add some lights (from poundland in this case).

Then set about making (again – apologies for the photos – this was made with a poorly pink one sat next to me on the sofa)

I wanted baubles and pom poms – the perfect combination in my opinion.  (Baubles from Pound Stretcher at the bargain price of £1.29)

So mess absolutely everywhere, and about an hour later, I was starting to get almost ready.

Then I hit the glue gun (in the kitchen) and 10 minutes later……..

Daylight and nighttime

Happy Christmas everyone

  1. Lovely!! And the picture on the sofa; that’s crochet in real life! I recognise those situations 🙂
I’m too making a wreath with pompons, I still have to finish it today!! Help!
Merry Christmas to you and your family,
    Sigrid
