As I’m sat at the computer I’m still not really sure what I’m going to write about. I wanted to write about crochet this week – hats, or one of the new patterns I’ve designed, but I haven’t had the time to sort through the thousands of photos I’ve taken to get them easy to upload quickly. I can’t write about a lot of my WIPS (and there really are a lot), as so many of them are presents I can’t ruin the surprises.
I thought about writing about the Autumn and the beautiful colours in the UK at the moment, but the sunny days to photograph them nicely seem to have disappeared.
But then I remembered why I was so busy last week……….. the Blue one was 8, and being 8 deserves a cake made by Mummy.
So I spent a good hour maybe more on Pinterest, looking at different options. He’s addicted to Minecraft, so I thought I’d attempt something based on this. For those who don’t know – it’s the strange game where you make worlds, everything is square, and you a guy called Steve.
I needed brown food colouring…… pink and green mixed together!
Then to assemble, 2 square chocolate cakes, cut into cubes. Stacked randomly, Then iced with green. Add some Chickens, some sheep, pigs and a couple of creepers.
Not my finest cake – but it was recognised by the 8 year old, and it tasted delicious!
