I’ve been AWOL from my blog again……. it was half term, and we decided to head away to a warmer climate. So while the UK started turning lovely shades of yellows and browns, we headed somewhere very green!
Its the longest flight we’ve taken our children on, baring Australia when the blue one was 6 months old, so it was night flights all the way. Heathrow to Kuala Lumpa, then a short flight to the beautiful island of Koh Samui……. or so we thought! The captain came on the PA system about 30 minutes before we were to due to land in Samui and informed us that the visibility was so bad we might have to circle for a bit……. which we did, before giving up and heading to Bangkok for the night!
But we did get to see some amazing thunderstorms and the sunset was well …… you can see for yourselves!
So an impromptu night in Bangkok, and a very early wake up for the plane that would hopefully get us on our way to Samui…. we saw the Sunrise!
So a further delay to the flight, and 5 hours after getting up, a whole 20 hours after we were supposed to get there, we landed on Samui!
The hotel was beautiful,
The weather was rainy one minute, bright sunshine the next!
The food was amazing!
It was a wonderful week….. Flights home were only slightly less dramatic, we pushed back from Samui, to then go back on stand and all off loaded, to reboard 30 minutes alter and head on our way to Singapore. So shopping here I found a fab watch
So we finally landed at 5am, after the threat of fog and visibility in the UK being an issue at Heathrow. We are home, tired, and jet lagged (when the little people get up at 6am to come for a dog walk, or they get up at 4.30am saying they are hungry you know somethings up!)
I think I’ll leave this here….. and just share the memories!
