A frantically busy week

The 7 year old and I filmed a video on the shark jaws.  It’s on youtube here.  A tail and the other bits will go live soon…. but it’s been a very busy week.

So the big day is nearly here.  My sister gets married tomorrow….. and I still haven’t finished everything I needed to!

Remember the jars I made a while ago – well they will get put to use shortly.

The bolero is almost finished – 10 squares all sewed together – now to try it on my Mum and add some sleeves…. nothing like last minute!

And then I checked the weather forecast – a wedding in August in the UK – and I’m thinking I’m going to need something other than my big winter dog walking coat….. so roll up a Virus Shawl….. I love this pattern.    My dress is very patterned – so even though this shawl looks amazing in a gradient yarn it’d be too busy for me.

I went to 2 different shops, came back with 2 different coloured yarns to match my dress, one cotton, the other incredibly soft – so which one do I choose???

Answer – see if you can make both in the time limit…….. wish me luck!

More photos of the actual day will come soon…….

  1. Blimey Vick! You’ve given yourself a stack of work! I think the blue shawl is gorgeous. Don’t run yourself ragged before the big day or you’ll be too stuffed to enjoy it! You’ve made so many lovely things for your sisters wedding xoxox
