Todays post was all planned in my head. A walk around St Pauls Cathedral in London finding Shaun the Sheep that we did a few days ago (that’ll now have to wait until another day). Then I looked out of the doors in a brief moment of sunshine and I had to share what I see with you! (as I type the heavens have completely opened in the biggest downpour I’ve seen in a while) !!!!!!
(I’m still having photo issues with an iMac and downloading so my spontaneity has been foiled by the technical bits …. this was yesterday!)
Remember those bulb – yep those bulbs again – the pain of planting them is paying me back in spades and spades and spades. I’m one happy lady currently as you’ll see why shortly.
The garden is still pretty much green, seedlings are attempting to grow in the green house and in in the utility room. Yep – I have seed pots absolutely everywhere!
The geums are going great guns, the little orange ones in flower, the bigger red ones coming into bud.
Most of the hardy perennials and growing nicely, it’s looking green and lush, and tempting me to take loads of photos daily just to see how it changes.
The only thing yet to really show any signs of life is the Verbena Bonariensis – all I have is stumps where the previous plants have been.
What can you see in this photo……
The Alchemia Mollis looks amazing after the rain has been, lovely glistening drops of water just resting on the leaves.
And one of the alliums is starting to open – a tad early – but if it wants to get there first thats fine by me!
It’ll only prolong the show for longer
But enough about the perennials – it isn’t their time to shine yet…… nope – that’s still the tulips!
